This painting celebrates the beauty and character of the North Fork of Long Island through a luminous, expressive landscape. Rolling fields, windswept grasses, and distant water unfold beneath a vast, atmospheric sky, where soft blues, pinks, and whites capture the changing light and open space of the region. The work is both a study of place and a celebration of the quiet vitality of the North Fork landscape.

Exploring the North Fork of Long Island has been a great privilege. This painting celebrates my favorite place, called “Potato Dock” by the locals. A mostly moody placid estuary teeming with oysters, clams, and scallops.
