My wave field series documents the beginning of the Berkshire Mountains and farmland outside my studio. Mixing the representational and abstract to follow the seasons, and record the changes as I create a new pollinator pathway that once were mowed fields.
inspired by the concept of Radical Ecologies: Moving past aesthetic gardening, radical "artist-gardeners" use living plants to critique climate change and rebalance ecosystems. My studio is located on a former dairy farm where we are creating pollinator pathways and rewilding the land that was once mowed. This process has resulted in far more food for animals and is a constant source of wonder. Much of my work involves nature and the appreciation of this ever changing environment.
